World Ecological Forum and its network of academics, NGOs, and business partners are preparing co-development of Alec Arho Havrén’s invention and a concept called Smart Energy Road and Traffic System (SERTS). The founder of World Ecological Forum, Alec Arho Havrén, commenced the initial development of the SERTS – an energy harvesting smart microgrid with wireless and mobile inductive charging for electric vehicles – in 2008.
In the next phase, a feasibility study for a possible pilot facility will be realised. A potential location for the test platform is on a land area in conjunction with GotlandRing, the world’s first sustainable race and test circuit that works in close co-operation with the automotive industry.
SERTS enables a paradigm shift in energy; it has the potential to create ten times more energy than is produced today through conventional production using fossil fuels. The smart energy road produces 100% renewable energy through thermal, geothermal, solar, wind, and kinetic energy.
